Here are five easy steps to make a carpet runner transformation in your stairs in less than 3 hours.

And what's more? Its all natural, eco-friendly and voc free too!

Step 1. Take up old carpet. (Time allowed 1 hour)

We strongly advise you to wear a paper mask for this as the air will be full of dust, vocs and house dust mite.
Assuming your carpet is fitted on tackfast I have an awesome tip for you. Start at the bottom and work your way up.
The action of the tackfast means the old carpet will just pop off the pins if you work bottom up.
Leave the tackfast and underlay down.



Step 2. Cut back the tackfast and underlay. (Allow 30 minutes, Running time 1.5 hours )

Cut back your tackfast and underlay ready for your new carpet runner. Our carpet runners are 65cm(25.5 inches)wide just cut back your gripper and underlay to 55cm 21.5 inches. To cut the underlay use a utility knife. To cut the tackfast use snips or hammer and sharp bolster.



Step 3. Paint the edge of the stairs (Allow 1 hour running time 2.5 hours)

Cut back your tackfast and underlay ready for your new carpet runner. Our carpet runners are 65cm(25.5 inches)wide just cut back your gripper and underlay to 55cm 21.5 inches. To cut the underlay use a utility knife. To cut the tackfast use snips or hammer and sharp bolster.



Step 4. Bolster your carpet on to the Tackfast. (Allow half an hour running time three hours)

Start at the top of the stairs and fix the new carpet runner under the lip of the landing. Then simply work your way to the bottom with a hammer and bolster. Cut 1cm too long at the bottom, turn under and tack or staple



Step 5. Admire your new stair runner!
